Explorer II Reference 226570
Introduced alongside the 124270 at Watches & Wonders 2021, the 226570 brings the Explorer II into the modern Rolex movement generation. Cal. 3285 is a tour de force: Chronergy escapement, Parachrom hairspring, 72-hour power reserve (up from 48), and superior METAS-level chronometric accuracy. The 42mm size was retained — comfortable given the model's heritage as a larger, tool-oriented watch. Both classic black and white Polar dials continue. The result is arguably the most capable Explorer II ever made, technically speaking.
Notable: Cal. 3285 delivers 72-hour power reserve — the most capable movement ever fitted to an Explorer.
